Elevate your cheer experience with the Crystal Lake Raiders Full Competitive & Sideline Cheer Program, designed for athletes in Grades 3–6. This exciting program combines the energy of sideline cheer with the thrill of competitive performance—providing a well-rounded, team-centered season.

Please Note:

Uniform, competition bow, and state competition fees are not included in registration. Uniforms and bows will be ordered separately.

Practice & Season Info:

• Grades: 3–6
• Season Duration: Mid-May – Mid-November
• Practice Start Date: On or around May 15
• Practice Schedule:
• Minimum 2 days per week, possibly 3 for older teams
• Weekend practices may be scheduled based on team needs and coach availability
• Dead Weeks (No Practice):
• Week of June 1
• Week of June 8
• Week of August 3

These scheduled breaks follow ICA’s “dead week” guidelines to give families time off during the summer.

This program blends the excitement of sideline cheerleading with the confidence-building experience of competitive performance, all in a supportive, age-appropriate environment.

Looking for a fun and spirited way to introduce your child to cheerleading? The Crystal Lake Raiders Sideline Only Cheer Program is perfect for Kindergarten through 2nd grade athletes who want to cheer without the commitment of competition.

This program offers a great foundation in cheerleading, focusing on sideline cheers, stunting, jumps, and team spirit, all while supporting our Raider Football teams at home games.

What’s Included in Registration ($250):

• Coaches’ education and training
• ICA membership fees
• Facility access
• Insurance coverage
• Game Day shirt & bow
• End-of-season celebration (athlete cost only)

Uniform not included:

• Uniform purchase required (~$75)

Program & Practice Details:

• Season: Late July through October/early November (aligned with football season)
• Practice Begins: Early July
• Practice Schedule:
• Typically 1 practice per week
• Possibility of weekend practices depending on coach availability
• No practice the week of August 3rd
• Practice Locations: Lippold Field or an indoor facility (TBD)
• Practice Duration: Minimum of 2 hours per session

Game Day Experience:

Sideline cheerleaders will perform at home football games at Lippold Field, energizing the crowd with cheers during quarters and/or halftime. This program is ideal for both girls and boys who love being part of a team, showing spirit, and performing in front of a crowd.

Community Involvement:

In addition to practices and game days, participants will have the opportunity to join in Raider fundraisers and community events, helping build friendships and Raider pride beyond the sidelines.

Preschool | Ages 3–5 | $200

Step into the exciting world of cheer with the Crystal Lake Raiders Tiny Tots Sideline Cheer Program! Perfect for preschoolers ages 3 to 5, this program introduces young athletes to the spirit of cheerleading in a fun, age-appropriate, and supportive environment.

Your little one will light up the sidelines at Raiders football games with high-energy cheers, beginner stunts, jumps, and introductory tumbling—all while building confidence, friendships, and a love for the sport.

Program Details:

• Ages: 3–5 (Preschool only)
• Season: Mid-July through October/early November (weather dependent)
• Location: Lippold Park (outdoors), then transitions indoors with the rest of the cheer program
• Practice: 1–2 times per week (specific schedule announced closer to season start)

What’s Included:

• Team instruction from caring, trained coaches
• Sideline performances at Raiders home games
• Complimentary Tiny Tots Cheer Shirt
